Cointreau Blush
1 1/2oz Cointreau
1/2oz Lime Juice
2oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
1.5oz Soda
Build over Ice in a Rocks Glass
Garnish with a Grape Fruit Wedge
A refreshingly fruity cocktail without syrupy sweetness, a classy cocktail.Ruby Red juice is fantastic, I have only recently been able to find it in supermarkets and I wish I had sooner, its a great addition to many cocktails and tastes amazing on its own.

Singapore Sling Cocktail
The Mash Bill:
1/2oz Cherry Herring
1oz Gin
1/4oz Cointreau
1/4oz Dom Benedictine
1/3oz Grenadine
1/2oz Lime Juice
4oz Pineapple Juice
Dash Angostura Bitters
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour all ingredients
- Shake
- Strain into Collins Glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
It’s not as artificially red as many Singapore Slings I have seen, maybe just due to the type of grenadine that I used. The sling gives of an aromatic aroma, due to the bitters, which makes it smell similar to a Lemon, Lime and bitters. There is a sweet, yet sour flavour that accompanies the pineapple in the drink, this is the dominant flavour. Hints of cherry are noticeable in the after taste, there is no real alcohol flavour to the drink, the gin, while strong and aromatic is well hidden.
A refreshingly fruity cocktail and one I will definitely make again in the future.

Illusion Shooter
The Mash Bill:
1/2oz Midori
1/2oz Vodka
1/2oz Triple Sec
1/2oz Pineapple Juice
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour all ingredients
- Shake
- Strain into shot glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
Taste just like the premix that you buy in bottles at the bottle-o. A sweet melon flavoured shooter with a bit of a kick, especially if you are using premium Triple Sec (Usually 40%) or Cointreau like I did.
Its a nice shot, but an even better long drink.

Golden Dream
The Mash Bill:
3/4oz Galliano
1/2oz Cointreau
1/2oz Orange juice
1 tablespoon cream
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour all ingredients into Shaker
- Shake
- Strain into a Cocktail Glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
This is the first cocktail that I have used Galliano properly in (the Harvey Wall-Banger and the Freddy Fuddpucker just had it floating on top)
It’s a creamy cocktail that gives off a sweet, buttery fragrance.
You can taste the oranges, both from the cointreau and the orange juice, a fresh, sharp, zesty flavour. The Galliano flavour comes during the after taste, as it coats your mouth with an almost waxy, melted butter type layer. Its a rather pleasant cocktail.

Japanese Slipper
The Mash Bill:
1-1/2oz Midori
1-1/2oz Cointreau
1oz Lemon Juice
Ice
Cherry
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour Midori, Cointreau and Lemon Juice
- Place Cherry in Cocktail glass
- Shake
- Strain over the cherry
- Serve
My Thoughts:
A bright green drink with a contrasting red cherry in the bottom makes a very cool looking drink.
Its a sweet drink at first, you can only taste a little midori, (even though there is 1-1/2oz of it), , after the initial sweetness you get a sour note from the lemon. There is a slight alcohol taste to the drink, i think this is from the Triple Sec that I used instead of Cointreau (cause I havnt bought any yet!
)
Overall its a pretty cool drink

Lemon Drop
A lemon flavored vodka ‘Martini’
The Mash Bill:
2-1/2oz Vodka (or Lemon Infused Vodka)
1/2oz Lemon Juice
1/2oz Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
Ice
Lemon to garnish
The Work Order:
- Fill Shaker with Ice
- Pour Vodka, Lemon and Triple Sec/Cointreau
- Shake
- Strain into Cocktail glass
- Garnish with a slice of Lemon
My Thoughts:
A very basic drink with only 3 ingredients, it has a hint of citrus, but you can definatly taste the vodka when the aftertaste sets in.
Why this is the “Lemon Drop Cocktail” is that I found a Recipe for a “Lemon Drop Shooter”, So to save confusion I added the “Cocktail”
