Wedding Cake Cocktail
A cocktail that supposeidly tastes like a Wedding Cake.
The Mash Bill:
2oz White Rum
1oz Amaretto
3oz Pineapple Juice
1oz Coconut Cream
1oz Milk
1oz Double Cream
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill Shaker with Ice
- Pour all Ingredients
- Shake until cold
- Strain into Glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
This drink smells like the icing that is used on wedding (and some other) cakes (Almond essence is used in the icing, so this would be the Amaretto).
The drink tastes like a pinacolada with a hint of almond flavour, the aftertaste of this drink is a pineapple/cream flavour with a slight hint of rum.

Alabama Slammer
A fruity cranberry cocktail with a hint of almond.
The Mash Bill:
1oz Amaretto
1/4oz Lime Juice
Splash Soda
Cranberry to fill
Lime Wedge
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill Highball Glass with Ice
- Pour Amaretto and Lime Juice
- Top with Cranberry Juice
- Add splash of Soda on top
- Garnish with Lime Wedge
- Serve
My Thoughts:
A complex taste, there is sweet notes, sour, fruity and the almond amaretto flavour.
The Alabama slammer has a very clean, crisp taste, thanks to the Cranberry juice. The crispness literally fades to the nutty after taste
A very pleasant drink, would make a great refreshment in the summer

Dragonfly
A Spicy, Mexican style cockatil, with a sweet nutty taste.
The Mash Bill:
2 Shots Tequila
1-1/2oz Amaretto
1-1/2oz Orange Juice
2 Drops Tabasco Sauce
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour all ingredients
- Shake
- Strain into cocktail glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
Nasty would be one way to describe this drink, the tequila and amaretto just didnt go well together in my opinion. There was a hint of heat from the Tabasco, but it wasnt that great.

The Godmother
The Second part to the ‘His and Her Pair’, which I am going to call “The Godparents”
The Mash Bill:
1oz Vodka
1oz Amaretto
Ice
Lemon Peel
The Work Order:
- Fill Rocks Glass with Ice
- Pour Vodka and Amaretto
- Garnish with Twisted Lemon Peel
- Serve
My Thoughts:
Tastes similar to the godfather in the sense that the amaretto is present, however there is absolutly no aftertaste, the Amaretto drowns any harse vodka aftertastes. When sniffing this drink, the Lemon twist puts out quite a nice aroma, this did not happen when I made ‘The Godfather’, I think this might of been because I used a fresher lemon (Note: Make sure you use nice lemons!)
I think i prefer ‘The Godfather’ to this one.

The Godfather
A simple concoction made up of Scotch and Amaretto
The Mash Bill:
1oz Scotch Whiskey
1oz Amaretto
Ice
Lemon Peel
The Work Order:
- Fill Rocks Glass with Ice
- Pour Scotch and Amaretto
- Garnish with Twisted Lemon Peel
- Server
My Thoughts:
A strange but intriguing taste, it has the slight taste of scotch, with the sweetness and almond taste of the Amaretto, as the initial blast of Amaretto wears off, you do get the slightest aftertaste as if you were sipping on scotch.

Jelly Fish
A shooter with tentacles!
The Mash Bill:
3/4oz Amaretto
3/4oz Creme de Cacao
1/2oz Bailey’s or Irish Cream
Few drops Grenadine
The Work Order:
- Pour Amaretto and Creme de Cacao into a shot glass
- Layer Bailey’s Irish Cream on top
- Add a few drops of Grenadine on top to make the “Tentacles”
My Thoughts:
Was simple to make, and had a good visual effect to it (It did actually look like a jellyfish, I dont think the picture I took does it justice). As to the taste it had 3 phases; A sweet phase, an Amaretto phase and then finally the slight burn of the Bailey’s.

Amaretto Sour Shooter
A shooter consisting of Amaretto and Sour Mix
The Mash Bill:
1oz Sour Mix
1oz Amaretto
The Work Order:
- Layer the fluid in the order shown above
- Serve
My Thoughts:
Sweet and Sour at the same time, the initial taste of this shot is Amaretto, as that disappears, you start to taste the sour
