Midori Splice
A melon and coconut flavoured drink, with a creamy head.
The Mash Bill:
1oz Midori
1oz Coconut Rum
3oz Pineapple Juice
1oz Cream
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill Glass with ice
- Pour Midori, Coconut Rum and Pineapple Juice
- Float cream on top
- Serve
My Thoughts:
Very, very sweet.
The Midori, coconut rum and pineapple juice are all sweet on there own so this is a super sweet drink. You can taste the pineapple and Midori straight away, however the coconut rum does not show itself until the aftertaste, in any case it’s not an overpowering taste. The cream doesnt really do much for the drinks consistency, i think its role is more just for the look, and slight taste.

White Russian
A creamy, coffee flavoured vodka based cocktail.
The Mash Bill:
1oz Vodka
1oz Kahlua
1oz Cream/Milk
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill rocks glass with Ice
- Pour Vodka, Kahlua and Cream (or milk)
- Stir until chilled
- Serve
My Thoughts:
Looks similar to Baileys Irish Cream. The drink smells like a weak coffee, with a strong cream smell.
This drink tastes alot better than the Black Russian, The cream hides the sharp coffee tastes and makes the drink very smooth. The drink tastes like Baileys with a more prominant coffee taste.

Black Russian
A Coffee flavoured, vodka based cocktail.
The Mash Bill:
1oz Vodka
1oz Kahlua
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill rocks glass with Ice
- Pour Vodka and Kahlua
- Stir until chilled
- Serve
My Thoughts:
The Black Russian looks like jagermeister, it smells like coffee which a alcohol taste. At first there is a hint of vodka which as you continue to drink changes to a coffee flavour.
The Kahlua leaves a definate coffee taste in your mouth after the other flavours have disappeared.

Sir Walter Cocktail
A Brandy and Rum based cocktail, with a slightly sour taste
The Mash Bill:
3/4oz Brandy
3/4oz Rum (I will use White Rum)
1tsp Triple Sec
1tsp Lemon Juice
1tsp Grenadine
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour All Ingredients into the tin
- Shake
- Strain into Cocktail Glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
To begin with, the drink has a lemon fragerance, but also smells sweet (Triple Sec and Grenadine). The drink itself does not seem to have alot of flavour, There isĀ quite alot of afterburn, Im not sure if this is to do with the dark rum I used.
There is a small amount of sweetness at the front of the palette with gives way to the sour lemon, and the burn.

Tequila Sunrise
Tequila, Orange Juice and Grenadine, how hard can it be..
The Mash Bill:
1-1/2oz Tequila
1/2oz Grenadine
Orange Juice
Ice
Orange Wedge
The Work Order:
- Fill Highball Glass with Ice
- Pour Tequila and Grenadine
- Fill with Orange Juice
My Thoughts:
This drink has top notch aesthetics, It looks awesome the orange and red really fade well.
With the first sip, you can defiantly taste the Tequila, but not in a bad way,you just know its present. also has some fruity orange flavours, as you keep drinking the strong tequila taste disappeared and was replaced by a sweeter, thicker (almost syrup like) red liquid.
A question? Are you supposed to mix it before drinking? or do you drink it as I just drink (orange > Pink > Red)

Alabama Slammer
A fruity cranberry cocktail with a hint of almond.
The Mash Bill:
1oz Amaretto
1/4oz Lime Juice
Splash Soda
Cranberry to fill
Lime Wedge
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill Highball Glass with Ice
- Pour Amaretto and Lime Juice
- Top with Cranberry Juice
- Add splash of Soda on top
- Garnish with Lime Wedge
- Serve
My Thoughts:
A complex taste, there is sweet notes, sour, fruity and the almond amaretto flavour.
The Alabama slammer has a very clean, crisp taste, thanks to the Cranberry juice. The crispness literally fades to the nutty after taste
A very pleasant drink, would make a great refreshment in the summer

Bloody Mary
A ‘savory’ cocktail containing Tomatos, Vodka and Lemon.
The Mash Bill:
2oz vodka
3oz Tomato Juice
1/2oz Lemon Juice
Black Pepper
Salt
3 dashes Worcestershire
2 drops Tabasco sauce
Lemon
Celery
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill Highball Glass with Ice
- Pour Vodka, Lemon and Tomato Juice
- Dash Tabasco and Worcestershire
- Grind Pepper on top
- Garnish with Lemon Wheel and Celery Stick
- Serve
My Thoughts:
A very different drink when you compare it to most cocktails. Most cocktails are sweet, or at least incorporate sweet fruit, this however uses tomatoes which makes for an interesting flavour.
The drink is slightly spicy due to both the Tabasco and Black Pepper, It has a thick consistency which is due to the tomato Juice I used.
This is a very savoury drink, that i think would go well when eating Muscles or even oysters (Which I will have to go and get some, I havent had them in ages!)

Dragonfly
A Spicy, Mexican style cockatil, with a sweet nutty taste.

1-1/2oz Orange Juice
2 Drops Tabasco Sauce
Ice
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with Ice
- Pour all ingredients

Nasty would be one way to describe this drink, the tequila and amaretto just didnt go well together in my opinion. There was a hint of heat from the Tabasco, but it wasnt that great.

Lemon Drop Shooter
The Mash Bill:
1oz Vodka
1oz Sweet and Sour Mix
Lemon Wedge
Sugar
Ice
The Work Order:
Fill shaker with Ice
Pour all ingredients into tin
Shake
Strain into Shot glass rimmed with sugar
coat lemon wedge in sugar
Serve
My Thoughts:
I used premixed Sweet and Sour Mix, so the drink was rather sweet, biting into the lemon after the shot had the same taste as ‘Lemon and Sugar Pancakes’
