Midori Martini
A melon flavoured “martini” that packs a rather solid punch
The Mash Bill:
3oz Vodka
3/4oz Midori
3/4oz Triple Sec
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with ice
- Pour all ingredients into the shaker
- Shake vigourously until frost forms on the outside of your tin
- Strain into a martini glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
The original recipe that I tried only used 1/4oz of midori, and I wasnt really tasting the melon, so I increased it by 300% and it tasted pretty good!

Apple Martini
A very simple “martini” that has an apple flavoured theme to it
The Mash Bill:
1.5oz Vodka
1oz Apple Schnapps
2oz Apple Juice
The Work Order:
- Fill shaker with ice
- Pour all ingredients into the shaker
- Shake vigourously until frost forms on the outside of your tin
- Strain into a martini glass
- Serve
My Thoughts:
This cocktail was ‘average’ in my opinion, I think this is to do with the apple schnapps that I used; Im going to have to buy a differnt brand and try again

The Strawberry Daiquiri
Tonight I decided to be a bit creative and branch out from my usual Bourbon and Coke, to try something a bit more exotic. Where did I end up.. With the Strawberry Daiquiri, a simple drink with a fruity flavour and a bit of a punch.
The Mash Bill:
2oz – Rum (Usually White Rum, but I only had Dark Rum on hand)
½ oz - Fresh Lime Juice
¼ oz – Simple Syrup
6 – Fresh Strawberries or Strawberry puree from the bottle-0
Ice
The Work Order:
- Cut the strawberries in quarters after removing all the green bits
- Put them in the bottom of your cocktail shaker and muddle (crush) them
- Pour in Lime Juice and Simple Syrup
- Pour in Rum
- Mix with muddler or spoon
- Fill shaker with ice and shake til frost forms on your shaker tin
- Strain into a Cocktail glass
- Enjoy the refreshing taste of fresh strawberries
This was a drink I wasn’t to sure on, as Im not a big rum drinker; I was refreshingly surprised at how smooth this drink was going down and how good it tasted, next time I will add a little more simple syrup to the mix to make it a little sweeter
